Do you have a particular life obstacle you’re trying to overcome? Sometimes, seeking help from a licensed expert is the best way to put things into perspective. As a committed, professional Marriage and Family Therapist, your well-being and mental strength is my number one priority. I’m happy to guide you through your challenges with the attention and care you deserve.

Welcome

I know it's hard to find a therapist, to trust a complete stranger with your innermost thoughts and feelings.  My hope is to make it easier for you to share your inner world that might be filled with confusion, doubt or fear.  I strive to create a safe and comfortable place for you without judgment in order to help you overcome any challenges you may be experiencing.  I would be honored to help you through your current struggles.  You're not alone.

Services I Offer

Since 2012 I have provided clients a wide range of therapy services to suit their needs. Whether you’re an individual or a couple looking for help - my therapy sessions are designed to strengthen your confidence, and assist you in the healing and growth process.

Couples Therapy

Infidelity, constant arguing, emotional disconnection, have any or all of these interfered with your relationship?  If so, I'd like to help.  Whether you're just starting out, have 20 or more years together or somewhere in between, you may find your relationship in need of help.

I'm informed by the Gottman Method Couples Therapy in my work to assist couples in rebuilding connection and trust.  Gottman Method Couples Therapy is a research-based method that focuses on identifying a couple's weaknesses as well as their strengths.  Conflict management, increasing fondness and admiration and rebuilding trust are some of the skills developed through the Gottman Method.

I also incorporate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) in my work with couples. EFT looks at patterns of conflict, underlying emotions and how past emotional injuries show up in our relationships today.

Sometimes schedules and life make it difficult to commit to weekly therapy.  If that's your situation, Intensive/Extended couples sessions may be for you.  These are blocks of 4 - 6 hours of therapy that allow for couples to focus and practice skills in session.  Reach out to find out more about my Intensive/Extended sessions.

Individual Therapy

If you’re looking for quality individual therapy sessions with a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that cares, then you’ve come to the right place. I guide my clients every step of the way and implement various methods to help them develop new attitudes towards all of life’s most complex concerns.

I have a passionate interest in helping others heal from Childhood Emotional Neglect (CEN).  This work involves discovering the world of emotions and how they can be expressed genuinely and safely to help deepen your relationships and connection to others.  I believe that kindness and compassion towards oneself is an important starting point in interacting authentically with others.  In my work with the effects of CEN, I help my clients connect with their emotional self and learn to respect their needs in relationships in order to develop a more meaningful and satisfying life.

Premarital Counseling

Couples therapy also works well for couples who are contemplating getting married or who are engaged.  I offer education and tools around conflict management, maintaining connection and looking for signs of relationship "don'ts".   Premarital counseling is a great foundation for a strong and healthy relationship.

About Me

My previous professional life in management gave me the opportunity to work with a variety of people and personalities.  Assisting people with resolving personal and interpersonal issues was an aspect of this role I took great satisfaction in.  After taking time off from the professional world to raise my children, I found myself wanting to develop the part of me that enjoyed helping others to change and grow.  This inspired me to achieve my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology.

Like you, I have faced personal challenges that have tested my ability to cope.  Relationship and trust issues, insecurities, parental guilt and grief have played a part in my life.  The work to get through these hardships wasn't easy, but I learned it was possible.  It is possible for you too.  When we're in the midst of our pain, it's hard to see an end.  But the pain can end and you can triumph.

Some of the areas of treatment I can help with include relationship issues, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief/loss, trauma, life transitions and stress management among others.
